crypto feels like a casino and i'm tired of pretending it's not

been in this space since 2017. seen the icos, the defi summer, nfts, now its all meme coins and points. and i'm exhausted. every day there's a new hype cycle, new promises, new ways to gamble. i'm not saying i'm above it, i've aped into my fair share of garbage. but lately i've been wanting something real like actual assets that do something besides go up and down based on a tweet.

i have some gold physical. it sits in a safe it does nothing. no yield, no nothing. but i read somewhere that you can lease gold and earn a return on it. the idea of holding a hard asset that also generates income is kinda appealing. not gonna shill it, just something i've been thinking about.

anyone else feel this way? like we've lost the plot and everything is just speculation now
