Is there an actual charity meme coin project, or is it all just marketing?

genuine question, not a set up for anything.

in every cycle there is a batch of tokens with charity in the description. animal shelters, disaster relief, whatever is in the news that month. i have never once seen one produce a receipt. the donation wallet either never moves, or it moves one time, early, for a screenshot, and then nothing.

i am trying to understand whether the structure of the category is broken or i simply have not found those who do it properly.

the argument that it is broken: a creator promising to donate has no enforcement on him. the promise is contained in a description field which he can edit, or in a telegram message which scrolls away. the only thing which makes them send the money is social pressure, and social pressure disappears exactly at the moment when the price falls, which is also the moment when the most money is sitting there.

the argument against that: nothing from the above is a blockchain problem. the problem is that the promise was never on-chain. if the split was enforced at the contract level, and the receiver was a registered org and not a wallet, the objection mostly disappears.

has anybody actually seen the second version implemented? not they said they would, but implemented, with transactions which you can pull up and check.

and a separate question, in which i am less sure: would it even change your behavior? i think i would pick the one where a part goes out the door over the one where it does not, given that everything else is identical. but i genuinely cannot tell if that is true or if i am just telling myself a flattering story about my own trading.
