Request for interview

Hi everyone!
I'm a student at Hood College in Maryland, working on an explanatory article about Bitcoin for my Media Writing II class. My goal is to help readers who know very little about Bitcoin understand what it is, why it has value, and how people actually use it.

I'm looking to interview two types of people:
A Bitcoin technology or blockchain expert who can offer insight into how Bitcoin works and what makes its technology different from traditional financial systems.

Someone who operates or works with Bitcoin ATMs who can explain how the machines work and their role in making Bitcoin accessible to the public.

Interviews would be brief and could take place over Zoom or email. I'm also happy to send questions for you to answer at your convenience.

Here are some questions. Explain like I’m 5!:

1. When you're explaining Bitcoin to someone who knows absolutely nothing about it, what's the moment when you can see it finally click for them? What explanation usually gets them there?

2. Bitcoin operates without a central authority overseeing its transactions. What do you think is the most remarkable thing about how that system works, and what are its limitations?

3. Can you walk me through a real situation where Bitcoin accomplished something that would have been difficult or impossible using a traditional bank? What made the difference?

4. Bitcoin is often described as secure, yet people lose cryptocurrency to hacks and scams. What distinction do people miss between the security of the Bitcoin network and the security of the services and wallets they use?

5. From your experience, what is one aspect of Bitcoin that sounds impressive in theory but becomes more complicated in practice?

6. If you could show someone one real-world example of Bitcoin's technology making a difference, what would you choose and why?
